“This tour was a great way to take a break from the ancient history and archaeology of Athens and instead hear about how the modern Greek state developed and how some of its ongoing and unresolved founding disagreements impact on contemporary Athenians. The best kind of learning happens when you don’t realise you’re learning and leaves you with more questions than answers. Maelle has nailed that with the way she delivers this tour. We both spent half the night googling stuff she’d mentioned to find out more! We also loved the clear care and respect that she has for her community, balancing education with a need to not ‘exhibit’ real…”
